Hello, World!
A new standard of hi-tech education
At Mefathim, we make the Orthodox community a part of the hi-tech industry by training excellent Junior Programmers from the religious sector. Mefathim is a specialty program targeted at members of the Orthodox community who wish to become a driving force in the Israeli hi-tech industry. Our mission is to expand the pool of talented Israeli programmers and keep up with the ever growing demand for top-tier hi-tech employees.
We provide our students with the necessary tools and in-depth knowledge of the field, using academic research methods, in-house training and soft-skills development. This unique 18-month program is taught by leaders in their field, all of whom have extensive knowledge and experience in the Israeli hi-tech industry.
Joining the workforce
A peek into success
Our graduates have been integrated into the workforce with astounding success. Thanks to the Mefathim program, they are able to overcome preconceived notions and prove themselves, time and time again, in various roles in the hi-tech industry. Here’s what two of our graduates have to share.
Don’t take it from us,
take it from our graduates
Abraham Willis
Data analysts team leader
at SimilarWeb
Abraham Willis is a highly intelligent man and yet he struggled at university. At MEFATHIM he leaned into his talent and abilities to find his way. “This is the great thing about Mefathim,” he says, “you will always find a track that suits you just right.” Today he works in a role that combines his knowledge with his passion for politics, economics and communications, and was quickly promoted to team leader.

Oz Cohen
Data engineer at Placer
Oz came from what you might call a “rough background” with little chances of success in the outside world. At Mefathim he was able to truly shine: he turned out to be a curious, intelligent young man. His greatest strength is in his comprehension of deep processes, internal and external, and the ability to understand their connections. We are grateful to have been on his path.

Chanoch Shayner
Junior developer
at Palo Alto Networks
A classic Mefathim success story, Chanoch started out at the Hebrew University but found that the academic route did not suit him. At Mefathim he was able to show initiative; his individual nature shined through, as did his ability to push himself further than expected. He excelled as a student and quickly discovered where his interests lie – Cyber – which is what he currently does for a living.

The power of three:
our core values
Academic excellency
Our academic program combines extensive knowledge in sciences with applicative programming training. Our students study computer science, mathematics, physics and more. We encourage students to teach one another and grow through collaboration, creativity and understanding – skills that are indispensable in the hi-tech world.
Talent
We believe that anyone can shine in the field they are attracted to. By teaching our students to tap into their inner skills and capabilities, we help them bring out their very best and navigate their passions to achieve career excellence.
Integration
We are committed to our students’ success. By introducing the Ultra Orthodox community into the secular workforce, we foster a sense of unity, collaboration and understanding between the sectors. During their 18-month training our students acquire the soft skills required to successfully integrate.
Our Team

Generico utilizes the Agile Project Management method to simulate real-world programming and workplace scenarios. This is real, practical knowledge that cannot be achieved in other academic environments and provides a true advantage to any programmer, particularly those coming from non-secular backgrounds outside the hi-tech workforce.
Generico training contains extensive practice with CI\CD using teamcity deployment to AWS, writing unit tests with pytest, development with git, web scraping and DevOps work. Their AWS experience includes – EC2, S3, lambda, RDS, VPC, AIM ML Experience Web application development in JS
